There is no single price for a product display stand, because each one is built around a product. The price depends on the type of stand, its size, the material and how many you need. This guide explains each, so you know what to ask for in a quotation.
What is a product display stand?
A product display stand is a unit that gives one product a place of its own in a shop, apart from the ordinary shelf row. The trade calls it a point-of-purchase (POP) display, because it stands where the shopper decides what to buy.
Take a new masala brand in a supermarket. On the regular shelf it sits among twenty other packets. On a floor stand of its own, with its colours and a header, it is the only thing in view.
What types of product display stand are there, and where is each used?
Orbiz Corp builds six types, listed on our product display stands page.
| Type | Where it goes | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Floor stand | On the shop floor, in an aisle or near the entrance | A four-tier stand of snack packets in a supermarket |
| Shelf and end-cap display | On the existing shelf, or at the end of an aisle | A branded shelf unit that separates one shampoo range from the row |
| Hanging strip | Hung from a shelf edge or a hook | Sachets or small accessory packs clipped in a column |
| Dump bin | On the floor, filled loose | Offer packs of biscuits that shoppers pick out by hand |
| Counter unit | Beside the billing counter | Lip balm, phone cables or chocolates within reach while paying |
| Sampling and exhibition unit | At a tasting table, a launch or a trade show stall | A juice brand offering samples at a mall on a weekend |
Which material should a display stand be made of?
The material follows the job: how long the stand stays, how much weight it carries and how many stores it goes to.
| Material | What it is | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Bubble guard | Fluted polypropylene sheet. Light, prints well, does not mind moisture. | Floor stands and rollouts to many stores |
| MDF | Dense board, routed, then painted or laminated. Heavy and solid. | Premium counters and long-stay fixtures |
| Acrylic | Clear or coloured sheet, laser-cut and bent. Shows the product, not the stand. | Cosmetics, electronics and counter units |
| Multiwood | PVC board that does not swell with water. Cuts and joins like wood. | Stands that stay for months |
| PVC foam sheet | Smooth, light sheet that takes print directly. | Headers, shelf strips and short campaigns |
| Mixed build | A board base, acrylic pockets and printed panels, each part in what suits it. | Jobs where one material cannot do it all |
What decides the price of a product display stand?
We do not publish a price list for display stands. A figure quoted without seeing the product would be a guess. A quotation changes with these things:
- Type and size. A floor stand 1,200 mm tall with four tiers uses far more material than a counter unit that holds twelve lip balms.
- Material. A bubble guard stand for a six-week offer and an MDF fixture meant to stay for a year are different jobs.
- What it carries. Two-litre bottles need a stronger structure than sachets.
- Quantity. One sample for a single shop and a rollout to 200 stores are quoted differently.
- Artwork and header. A flat printed header is simpler than one cut to the outline of the pack.
You receive the quotation together with a drawing, before anything is cut.
What should you send to get a quotation?
- The product: pack size and weight. A photo of the pack next to a ruler is enough.
- How many packs should sit on one stand.
- Where it will stand: floor, shelf, counter or exhibition.
- How many stands, and in which city or stores.
- The date you need them by, and your artwork if it is ready.
A workable brief can be this short: "500 g coffee jars, 24 per stand, floor stand for 30 supermarkets in Kozhikode, needed by 15 December."
How does the work go, from brief to store?
- You send the brief.
- We draw it. Structure first, artwork second. You get a visual with dimensions and a quotation.
- We build one sample. You load it with product, shake it and check the print.
- We make the run. As our page says, one piece or hundreds.
- Packed and sent. Delivery is agreed with the quotation.

Questions people ask
What is product display?
Product display is the way goods are arranged and presented in a shop so that shoppers notice them and can pick them up. It covers ordinary shelves and also separate units such as floor stands, counter units and dump bins that give one product a place of its own.
Which product display stand suits a shop countertop?
A counter unit. It is small enough to sit beside the billing counter and holds light items within reach of someone who is paying. On our display page, acrylic is listed as a good fit for counter units, cosmetics and electronics, because the clear sheet shows the product and not the stand.
How do you make an acrylic display stand?
An acrylic display stand is made from clear or coloured sheet that is laser-cut to shape and bent to form shelves, pockets or steps. We draw the structure around your pack first, share a visual with dimensions, and build one sample for you to check before the full run.
